Dr. Kotian:
Being an obstetrician and gynecologist at Banner Thunderbird is a great opportunity. It has level-3 nursery, which means that we can take care of a wide variety of patients and complications. We don’t need to transfer the patients out of the hospital to take care of them.

Also we have recently added a high-risk specialist to the hospital, Dr. Coleman and Phoenix Perinatal Association and they are great asset to us. We can get our high-risk consultations on-site. It’s common that we see patients from Glendale, upper Phoenix, Peoria, Surprise, the west valley of Phoenix.

About Dr. Zarine Kotian, M.D.:
Dr. Kotian is an obstetrician/gynecologist on staff at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, Ariz. She was born and raised in Ohio, attending Ohio State University where she completed her degree in Molecular Genetics with a minor in Spanish. She is board certified in OB/GYN. Dr. Kotian knew she wanted to be an OB/GYN while in her rotation during medical school after seeing her first birth.
