Dr. Grobe discusses a woman with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) who was able to overcome her PCOS-related infertility.

Dr. Grobe:
At the Center for True Harmony we see many women struggling with PCOS. One patient in particular was struggling with PCOS and the ability to become pregnant.

At the center we work as a team: our OB/GYN, our physician’s assistant and myself as a naturopathic physician. Together the physician’s assistant and I worked with this patient.

I treated her with acupuncture. I treated her with medical nutrition, diet and balancing out her blood sugars as well as regulating her periods.

We got her periods regular through botanical medicine and acupuncture and then through the use of Clomid prescribed by our physician’s assistant she was able to become pregnant.

It was a very satisfying experience and she did continue her OB care with our OB/GYN so we got to see it come to fruition, and also we were all able to celebrate the new life.
