If you read my first post, you know that my mom was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer almost three year ago, she is still cancer free and doing well, but we all know how deadly and unpredictable this disease is.

Patrick Swayze wasn't as lucky. He was in stage four of the disease and his treatment could only get him a few extra months with his friends and family.
Since this disease is so unpredictable, we need to get together to find a way to detect it earlier and treat it successfully.

I know, we're not doctors, so the treatment isn't necessarily something we can contribute to, but we can spread the word, share our stories and petition the government for assistance.

PanCan.org is the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and the best place we can go to inform ourselves and our family of warning signs and coping mechanisms. We can also use this site to donate to the cause and participate in other fundraiser efforts.

Join me in working with PanCan to help fight the disease, in memory of Patrick and with the saved life of my mom.

Thank you all for reading and do something you love today and everyday, 'Love - it's the one thing you can take with you when you die' - Patrick Swayze (last interview with Barbara Walters)
