Dr. Wang shares the long-term risk factors most commonly associated with osteoporosis and bad posture.
Dr. Wang:
When patients develop osteoporosis and their spinal alignment changes and they are bent forward in their posture, it can cause significant problems. They are more prone to more fractures. It takes away their vital capacity, so they have less room for their lungs, and it can decrease the amounts that they can breathe, and it can shorten their life expectancy. So it’s a very serious problem.
