Reducing Your Risk of Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD)

Peripheral artery disease is caused by atherosclerosis, which is a progressive condition. The same lifestyle changes used to manage PAD are also effective tools to prevent it. The following practices may help prevent peripheral artery disease:
Quitting smoking
Eating a more healthful diet
Controlling conditions that put you at risk for PAD , such as:
