5 Underrated Mental Health Benefits From Daily Meditation Esin Deniz/Fotolia

Meditation is a transformative practice, as investing even 10 minutes a day to enhance our spirits is supremely helpful in cleansing our souls and building reservoirs of positive energy. Daily meditation enables us to seek solace in our souls, which is truly powerful, and leaves us experiencing rejuvenation as well as revitalization.

Are you still on the fence about meditation and are not sure where to begin? Let’s recap the top five underrated mental health benefits of daily meditation together!

Embrace our inner selves and bless our souls with abundant light and positive energy

Meditation enables us to produce higher levels of vibrations above our natural point, and so, makes us appear more calm, peaceful, centered, and ultimately, more attractive. Let’s be honest: who does not want to be more calm, peaceful, centered, and attractive? I know I definitely do.

Delving deep within ourselves for even 10 minutes a day unleashes a burst of positive energy, which in turn transforms our lives by exciting, enlivening, inspiring, and motivating us to move forward.

Invest in self-growth via self-guided meditation apps and or specialized meditations online

The most common question around meditation for beginners is where to start. Over the past few months, I have been practicing Twin Hearts meditation, which is key to opening our heart and crown chakras, enabling us to draw a great amount of high-quality divine energy into the crown.

I especially love this meditation because it focuses on positive energy, gratitude, love and kindness, all very special feelings which unleash so much good energy in the world.

If this sounds a little too adventurous or advanced for you as a beginner, feel free to download one of the highest rated meditations apps out there called Headspace, and enter your zone for at least 10 minutes a day.

Guide our inner light and achieve the first in a series of steps towards self-enlightenment

Over time, a collection of moments spent meditating opens our awareness to the infinite reservoir of energy, creativity, intelligence, and deep understanding of ourselves and the universe in an incredibly profound manner.

I have experienced the sporadic Aha! moments, and feelings of complete oneness with my being. It is an incredible feeling, and I urge you to invest at least 10 minutes in either form of meditation to achieve these results and manifest your own greatness.

Our world is infinitely complex and demands a great deal of our time, attention and energy, so it is even more critical today that it ever has been to restore our energies and rejuvenate on a daily basis.

Experience deep feelings of oneness with our spirits, souls, and true selves

Admittedly, our lives are crazier than they have ever been, and there is an overwhelming need to achieve, succeed and move, which is all well and good, but there is a danger to constantly moving without having a valid sense of purpose surrounding the movement.

What meditation enables us to achieve are deep feelings of oneness with our spirits, souls and true selves, so that when we seek deep within ourselves for those 10 minutes a day, we exit feeling rejuvenated, replenished, and most importantly, re-energized to tackle our challenges with fresh perspectives and a sense of purpose.

Meditation has several methods, approaches and philosophy. Chanting of 'OM' mantra is very effective, recommended in Hindu philosophy. Even scientifically chanting of this mantra is n tune/harmony with nature since our Globe makes this sound going round the Sun.
