Yes, actually. There can really be an indication of several things. One could just be lack of experience with placing a tampon and it is not at all unusual for a woman to present to a healthcare provider to have her be shown how to put a tampon in for the first time or effectively for the first time. There are other conditions, conditions one is called vestibulitis inflammation of the glands at the opening of the vagina that can cause a very much of a burning sensation as the tampon passes over the opening on the way into the vagina and there are other conditions of the muscles that line the vagina that the muscles are so tense or spastic that they disallow an easy entry of a tampon into the vagina. All of those things can be addressed by a knowledgeable healthcare provider.
