Here I am back at Cancer Treatment Center of America (CTCA). I checked into the Hotel Highland yesterday because after staying at the Montelucia for days and days, my pocketbook was starting to feel the pain. The hotel highland is just a block from my house, so very convenient. On the other hand, it’s not very comfortable and only has the bare necessities that a hotel should have.

I started having anxiety last night. I don’t know where this came from, but it came on strong. I popped some valium and methadone but it didn’t seem to help. The feeling kept through today and I had to use all the strength that I had to pull myself together to go to get some food and water and then cat food for my poor kitties.

I spent a couple of hours at home just hanging with the attention starved cats and debating whether or not to call CTCA. I finally called and told them the situation. The care manager recommended that I come in to get checked out. So here I am waiting for them to access my port to give me a dose of Ativan. I am hoping this will calm my nerves. Either way, I have to stay here tonight because they won’t let me drive with that stuff flowing through my veins. That’s fine by me. The hotel highland was a little depressing anyway.
