Samara describes the recovery from minimally invasive neck and back procedures.
Samara:
Immediately following my two minimally invasive procedures my flexibility and my strength were a little weak. I went through therapy for about two weeks.
I did a lot of core exercises and just some endurance work and a lot of stretching and a lot of ice and pretty much after those two weeks I was probably about 80 percent.
I took another four weeks just to get fully back into shape, you know, started walking on a treadmill, started lifting weights, just doing a lot of core exercises and after that, within six weeks I was ready to go back to work with no restrictions whatsoever.
Right now, six, seven months after the surgery I have no pain, I have no restrictions and I am back to where I was before I had the accident.
I am so grateful. I mean they gave me my life back. There were so many things that I couldn’t do after the accident.
I couldn’t walk my dogs. I couldn’t exercise. I couldn’t work. I mean sometimes it was even hard to sleep, and now after the surgery and after the therapy that I went through everything is wonderful.
