Dr. Marc Brand explains how hemorrhoids are diagnosed.
Dr. Brand:
Hemorrhoids are diagnosed by a physician who has experience in dealing with hemorrhoidal complaints, and some of the most important information is a clear description from the patient as to what they are experiencing.
After that, the physician examining the area is then able to determine whether the hemorrhoids or some other condition are causing the complaints. Sometimes the examination needs to be done in the bathroom after a bowel movement, which is the most natural environment in which the hemorrhoids exist and can be examined.
