Lois explains which heart surgeries she had at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona, and discusses her recovery.
Lois:
The doctors, later after my surgery, and my family told me that I had received a new artery pig skin and four valves and that was quite a lot of surgery, and they are all working fine and I couldn’t thank Banner Medical Center, Mesa. They were very nice and the people were all good and they helped and they cared, and what can you say?
Until my heart surgery it took perhaps two months before I felt that I was good enough to go out and resume my regular life; driving the car. I won’t do that until I was sure that it was safe and I did have nurses coming to my home for home care sent by Banner Medical Center and they were great assistance to me, but they did release me in March 20-something that I don’t have to go back for another six months and that’s to see the cardiologist and he is very proud of his work and that was Dr. Stern.
