Hi Ladies, it's good to know that you're here. I have been involved with a younger man who is 13 years younger than me. I have dated younger before and it was a disaster, but this time things are better. I am 46 and he's 34. I was so glad that he had a birthday last month, LOL. Our problem is that he is divorced and it left some bad scars and he does not want to get married again. I do want to get married again and I want him to be the one.
Of course there is the issue of money. He is not in a position to spend money like I am and it is hard. I do not mind paying for dinner, but I am NOT going to Mc******* . I have worked hard so I do not have to. Does anyone else have a problem being in love with a younger-poorer man???/

Hi Somoca , I am dating a younger man, I am 50 yrs old and he is 44yrs old.. And I have two grown children and he has 4 children and his oldest is 13yrs old... and now he has asked me to marry him, and I have been married twice and divorced twice and I am really not so sure if I want to get married again...I do want to be with one person maybe for the rest of my life... I do want to enjoy my senior years doing things and I just wonder if I am doing something will he have to work, cause he is still working?

Hi! I'm kera the creator of the group. My boyfriend is 25 and I'm 30. The age difference isn't that huge but sometimes it seems like a lifetime. I also make a lot more money than him but do not mind at all. He still has so much to learn which has forced my patience to increase A LOT! Lol. Overall we love each other to death tho. I say just stick with him if you really love him, it'll be worth it. Sometimes I wish i could fast forward to a year when he's more mature, but I would miss out on so much!

Hi Somoca,

I think with LOVE, anything is possible. I am the opposite 34 years old and dating a 44 year old. Yes, I see there are differences as time provides for more intelligence, learning experiences and so forth. If you do not take away from those learning lessons, a beautiful thing can happen and hey if men can do it...so can women.

Marriage will come in time, learning and knowing that the right person is right in front of you. The best thing is that if it doesn't work out, you have become a stronger and more intelligent woman from your own life experiences. Understand that with any relationship, there will always be SOMETHING you don't like about a person but it is about what you can and cannot deal with. Women in general are wise beyond their years and mature faster than men. In my situation, I am a 34 year old women in a career and working on a PhD...my mind knows where it wants to go and achieve. This, itself, changes my outlook on life.

To also add to the money situation, my last two relationships, I was the bread winner as I am an extremist and will do everything in my power to become a higher power in any organization. This can also work out in the long run as long as he is not intimidated by your power (which is money) and he does not abuse that fact either.

I hope my story helps a little. I look forward to where this thread leads. Good luck and good love! I am a sucker for love stories.

Description

I wanted to create a group for women like me that are dating/engaged/married to men that are younger than we are. I am 30 and my boyfriend is 25. I have heard so much ridicule and criticism over my choice to be with someone so much younger and less mature than I am. He makes me happy and I should be the one to decide who is or isn't right for me. If there are any of you out there that feel the same way, or want to talk to women with similar lives, this is the place for you! Welcome!
