Hi ladies hope all is well and everyone one is enjoying the start of a hectic New Year, i am asking this question, i know being 40+ has no limitations but i have not been sexually active since 2002 (lol) and i have someone and i am kinda scared lol, being that i am diabetic and hypertensive and also i had a hysterectomy, what are the pros and cons of getting back being sexually active at this time and the changes in the reproductive system of my body.

Oh I do use the lube but it sure can get messy , I am in my early 50 also and fully menopausal, I get moist once in a while and the next 20 times I must use a lube. I too wish it was treated.
Thank You.

One word: lube! It's effective, easily available and safe! Just be sure to use a vaginal lubricant as opposed to something like Vaseline - you definitely don't want petroleum products "down there". I understand that dryness is very common during peri-menopause. I am 50 and fully menopausal now and have had to make lubricant a regular feature in my sex life as there just isn't any natural moisture happening any more! I wish all my menopausal issues were as easily treated!
