I never had seasonal allergies until about ten years ago when I was sneezing constantly and rubbing my eyes more than usual. I thought cats were the culprit, as I was more exposed to them with my then boyfriend, now husband. After the full needle allergy test and not a slight allergy to cats I was told I had non-allergic rhinitis. So, do I have allergies? Do I not? This so confusing. So, what am I allergic too? Apparently, I have allergies but not the the typical things tested for. Have you even been diagnosed with this? Is this a real diagnosis?
Hi again Susan. Nice to see you here on this new group. I am now taking daily allergy medication which helps stave off my sneezing. Thankfully I don't experience side effects from the treatment. When I am not taking them, in case I forget, I can tell instantly that my allergies are going to a bear because the unexplained sneezing with no mucous continues. Once I take the meds then I am fine. Just didn't want to have to rely on medications so much as I take others for my IBS. What would be a good idea is for me to visit an allergist again since I haven't been in years and see if the result is the same. Thanks.
