Is Your Fibro Worse at Certain Times of the year?

By September 11, 2010 - 7:50am

Do you notice changing fibro symptoms with the change of seasons? Is it hard to sort out whether it is a seasonal depression or the fibro itself?

Let's get some information sharing going!

That is basically my experience, too! I think oh man, this heat and super humidity is the worst, and then mid winter I think oh man, I wish it was swollen summer again.

Every day brings a new challenge with fibro.

Oh yes, indeed! The two worse times of the year are in the heat of the Summer and the Freezing cold of Winter. In Summer comes the swelling of the feet and ankles, that I have never gotten a "real" explaination for, and the heat is SO very draining in the energy department. In the Winter, the slightest chill makes muscles tense up, causing more pain than usual. Sometimes, wish to crawl into a sleeping bag and not crawl out 'til spring. One good thing...my feet and ankles do not swell as much. Which is better, though...aching, stepping on coals burning with pins and needles or tensed up walking around like Frankenstein and moaning like a monster? It is a toss-up. One thing for sure, FM sucks all year-round!!!!!!!!!
