Why Local & Seasonal?

By March 21, 2012 - 5:28pm

Great group! Becoming familiar with local and seasonal foods is so important and can really help save the world! It's good for the environment, your community, your local economy, and is more fresh and more tasty (among many other benefits)!

I actually wrote an article on the subject :)

What's your reason for choosing local &/or seasonal?

Best,

Danielle.

wellnesswithin,

Haha, I'm also a bit of a farm hugger & couldn't agree with you more!

Here's another resource published yesterday about Community Supported Agriculture, for those looking to learn a little bit more about how to get involved:

Danielle, I'm sort of a farm hugger if you will. I believe strongly that food grown close to home provides the highest nutritional and nutrient bang for our buck. I'd like to get this message out to more people and have them start to look to their local farmers for their food supply once again.
