yes i do try to eat slower.must admitt since i am eating less,my I,B,S, is lots better..think problem now its festive season and we socialise a lot.also my husband has aspergers and fills house with junk food.he is addicted.[like most a/s]have begged him not to bring all the goodies home,as its so tough for me.of course being a/s he takes no notice,his addiction is so great he cant stop.and does not want too.thanks nisha,

It's wonderful that you have so much insight already about some of the underlying reasons for why things are the way they are. For now, my first tip is to slow down your eating (chew well) and put your attention on how your belly (aka intuition) is feeling...

i have had weight problems all my life.lots of councilling over the years.i eat healthily,but too much.i understand i am feeding my inner child,i am also a carerover the years i have lost and gained weight.i do not have an off button to tell me when i am full.i do not buy loads of sweets or chocs,
the only way i ever lose weight is through hypno therapy.i have a very good therapist,trouble is when i shift the weight and get weight down.then it tends to go back on,quick.this has always been a deffence mechanism,i feel safer fat/i feel people like me for me,not what i look like.when i was younger every time i got slim,then i would get lots of male attention.totaly unwanted.i am happily married.hated the fact that people who ignored me when i was fat,now wanted to know me?????
felt unsafe and vulnarable,
now i have to lose weight for my health.so went to hypnotherapist twice in last 3 months,and have lost over 16 pounds/slow but sure.3 small meals a day.no picking.so far so good.every time i start to fantacise about food i know i need top up.[hypnosis]do you have any more tips for me
