Kim shares how life would be different if her sexual health problem was never diagnosed and shares how a woman should advocate for her sexual well-being.
Kim:
I believe were it not for the divine intervention of Dr. Goldstein and his staff that I would still be floundering around in a failing marriage; I would still be in therapy to the tune of a couple of hundred dollars a wee; I think I would physically be far less fit and I think my overall outlook on life would be self-absorbed, depressed and defeated.
So basically Dr. Goldstein and his staff, through their care and treatment, have given me optimism and hope and I just can’t say enough about how great I feel and how positive my life is and every aspect of my life.
I don’t want to suggest to people that this is just a couple of hormones, a testosterone pellet and a vaginal dilator. I would say to all of you that if something doesn’t feel right, if you’ve lost interest, if you are suffering with other symptoms that seem unusual or odd to you, and your doctor isn’t treating you in a respectful way that you should take action and you can take action, and whether it’s going to the Internet or talking with friends or finding a physician who is skilled in sexual medicine, that is step one.
Step two is that this isn’t just about sex but there is nothing wrong with wanting for and having a healthy sex life, and I can’t say that enough. If you choose to do something about it, there is something available to you to ensure that you do have a healthy and positive relationship with your partner.
