Dr. Shaw describes what occurs when a woman receives an implant exchange.

Dr. Shaw:
An implant exchange is merely changing the implant for one reason or the other. Oftentimes, and oftentimes someone may like to go larger, it may be an exchange because an implant is older or it may be an exchange because possibly an implant has shown a rupture in a physical exam or some testing.
