Hi everybody, This is installment#2 of my saga. I didn"t get to talk to my surgeon . However my son did talk to him. My son informed me that the left lung tumor was completely excised and tests were being performed. I would get the results as soon as possible. On the day after surgery , I had a family visitor and they informed me that the right lung tumors had grown and spread very rapidly, and were unoperable. Of course, I immediately had weird feelings throughout my body, etclll- It was a panic attack. Sleep more or less eluded me that night. The next morning I started having many, many severe narcolepsy episodes. For your information, a narcolepsy episode can involve your being unable to move or respond verbally. It seems that the entire staff had an interactive learning experience that day. Due to this, I was unable to

Hi Lioness - I too am sorry to hear your news but am also glad to hear from YOU and to find you still have your wonderful sense of humor working for you. It really does help, doesn't it, to be able to poke some fun at living with cancer. I'm looking forward to your next installment too but please know that you never need to do a full "installment" to be able to come to the site with any questions you have or to simply say what's on your mind.
I hope you will take a few minutes this Sunday, which is National Cancer Survivor's Day, to acknowledge the courage, hard work and sheer strength of will that you have manged to muster for the sake of your health. Your name, Lioness, really suits you and you deserve to be acknowledged for what you've done.
Until next time,

Diane, thank you so much for your offer to help me in any way!!! Yes--I thank God every day for helping me to be upbeat. I was always an optomist, growing up with procrastinators and pessimists. I was given the nickname "Father Opto". Later I became the person, quite a few family members would come to and dicuss their problems with their private therapist. Ha!Ha! Oops--guess I had better quit babeling on and I will take you up on your offer. Thanks again!!! Sinceely, Lioness111.

Lioness111,
While I'm so glad to read your updates here, I'm so sorry to hear that the right lung tumors have spread quickly and are not operable. It is hard to imagine more difficult news. It makes perfect sense to me that your body would respond with the severe anxiety you experienced. I just wish your doctor had been able to talk with you before you were able to leave the hospital -- from what you write, it doesn't seem like he was.
I am astonished that you seem upbeat as you write to us -- this is a testament to your strength for sure. Are there any questions you have right now? Anything we could research for you or help you with?
