I went to the dr at age 25 (2004) for extreme exhaustion, couldn't work over 4 hrs without wanting to lay down and was diagnosed w/ depression, tried many meds, nothing worked, finally in 2009 was sent to an infectious disease dr and was dx'd w/fibromyalgia and CFS, had to quit working a good job in 2011 due to extreme pain and fatigue. I am depressed, in constant pain and one of the worst thing is I can't get a dr to believe Im sick, even with proof of my medical records.

Hi, I'm new to the site and just saw your post. I"m a psychologist and work mainly with anxiety and panic these days. However, before becoming a psychologist, I was also given a diagnosis of CFS, Probably around 2005, 2006. I tried numerous things (as I am sure you can imagine)
What I found that worked for me was a combination of things. Watching my diet, sleep, (not giving out to myself!) and changing my attitude about CFS and what I expected of myself.
I hope you get on well

Hi Anon,
I'm sorry to hear that. I don't understand how Doctors don't believe that you are sick with medical records.
Have you re-examined by another doctor?
