Something as simple as adding an avocado to your lunch could decrease your appetite by 40% for up to 3 hours! The Nutrition Journal recently published a study that found this to be true in overweight adults who added 1/2 an avocado to their lunch! Great motivation to add some avocados to your diet which are rich in unsaturated fats and contain the highest amount of protein of any fruit.

What you need:
1 avocado (sliced)
1/2 cup pineapple (sliced)
2 to 3 leaves dinosaur kale
1-inch slice fresh ginger
1/4 cup banana (sliced)
1/2 cup coconut water
1 tablespoon flax seeds
3 mint leaves
Directions
Combine ingredients in blender
Blend for 1 minute, add more water for desired thickness

Thank you Dr. Burklund for your delicious recipe! My husband and I love to make smoothies and cold pressed juices and so we are going to give this a whirl!!
I think it is really interesting that avocados can decrease your appetite by 40% for up to three hours! That's awesome news as I LOVE avocados!!!
