If I would have known I never would have taken all those NSAIDS! I have suffered and have had degenerative joint disease and taken every kind of NSAID known...I did not even realize that degenerative joint disease was osteoarthritis till numerous spur surgaries and a knee joint replacement, when I asked the Dr. what is degenerative joint disease?..and he told me! Ahhhh..my mom also has this!
So I have big limits on what I can take for pain! What a way to go thru life and work full time!

I really have just given in to the pain....the narcotics are addicting also so....natural is the way to go I guess, yoga, meditation, and low low excersise! I am 56 and feel like 80 in the body! But as long as I have a youthful mind I have hope! I will not let this get to me! Some days its real hard...I say this some days I have bad days and some days I have worse day, and when that happens I have to bow to Arthur!!

Valid point here anonymous. We 'need' to know the side effects of the medications we take. And another question we might ask ourselve is do we need this drug at all? Acupuncture has provided some relief from pain. Has anyone found anything that works for them to help relieve osteoarthritis pain?
