Just because I strive each and every day to beat the next challenge and accomplish the next goal, doesn’t mean I am not fulfilled in my everyday life. I wonder how many of us women can honestly say that we are fulfilled. If I were to die today, I’d be OK. Why? Because I have lived an amazing life by traveling the world, by embracing love, by feeling a heartbreak, by having money, losing money, and most importantly, having a remarkable family.
Did you know that 62 percent of women are not sure of themselves? I certainly think this ties in with being fulfilled, don’t you? It all goes back to the infamous word “balance”. Have you opened your eyes and scanned your world? Take a seat and watch your life, your family, friends, loved ones and soak it in. Discover all that you appreciate, discover all that you have achieved thus far. Embrace your life and cherish every single moment that goes by.
What does being fulfilled mean? In general it means being complete, being carried out and being content. Although, I don’t like the word content, I feel content is similar to settling. I want to always feel a drive to push more, the excitement of a new adventure, even if it’s learning to bake.
So this could be a question to ask myself. If I don’t want to be or feel “content” am I fulfilled?
Well, yes, I believe so because I seem to feel no fear when I think of dying. I know, sounds so morbid, but I want to share. I’m one that doesn’t even know if I believe in God. I do think there is a higher power, and I 100-percent believe in spirits, because I’ve experienced and seen spirits and I simply don’t have fear of death. It’s weird because I reflect from time to time and I can’t thank the world and my family enough for all the support I’ve had. I lived life the way I wanted to starting at a very young age. I’ve been to over eight countries before the age of 28 and the only thing I do not have at this very moment is marriage and I don’t have my very own children.
So, at this moment in time, I can honestly say I feel fulfilled. I still struggle each day with life challenges, but that’s life and that won’t ever change. I challenge you to ask yourself about being fulfilled. Are you fulfilled?
I would love to hear your thoughts below by leaving a comment, but before I go, here are a few things you can do in discovering your level of fulfillment.
Tips in Discovering if You’re Fulfilled:
1. Take a seat, grab a pen, grab a pad and reflect. Reflect on your entire life–all that you have done with school, sports, travel, love, friendship, family, charity work and anything else that has contributed to your Identity and your life.
2. Cherish what you wrote down and soak it all in. Be proud of your journey and proud of all your successes and your so-called “failures.”
3. Appreciate all that you have and think of how good you have it. There are many in worse places than where you may be.
4. If you are not fulfilled, not in a good place and not happy, then figure out why. What are you looking for? What do you need, what do you want? If you have to speak to a professional, take that step.
