This morning I was supposed to be landing on a glacier. The pilot called at 8 a.m. for a weather check and unfortunately he said we would have to wait. He would call back around noon. It’s now 1:30 p.m. and I haven’t heard back. I really want to do the trip, this is our last day!
Carol is still off on her tour, but we are meeting back here in a short while to go hang gliding. I am preying that the weather is OK enough to do that. It’s not too windy, but just a little overcast. I’m so excited that Carol was able to go on her excursion. I even came home before midnight last night just to get a good night sleep and rest for today. Damn! Oh well.
Tomorrow we board a flight to Auckland. We have some time there and then Carol needs to be at the airport at 5 p.m. to head home. My flight leaves much later so maybe I will have some time to do something fun there.
I have been thinking about what is to come next. I have to wait until I have the PET scan to really make any solid plans, but afterwards maybe. I have some people coming to stay with me over the next month and then sister Kathy and I are going to Playa Del Carmen.
I have been getting an itch to go to Dubai. I think that’s next on the list. I don’t know too much about it and I only know a couple of aquaintences who have actually been there. It still looks like a place I have to see before I die.
I am just really nervous about this next PET scan. I have been feeling positive about the previous two, but I just don’t have a good feeling, maybe because I have been having more back pain then usual. I am trying not to think about it too much and just enjoy each hour of the day.
