Q:

Would you sign a pre-nup? Or have you?

With divorce so common and with women earning more than ever (still not equal but working towards it!) I wonder if anyone has signed a pre-nuptual agreement? Would you find the idea insulting and a bad way to start a marriage or is it simply a smart move, in this day and age?

It's not just men asking women to sign anymore and pre-nups are not just for 'rich' people. If you have your own money and property, would you ask your fiance to sign one?

Yes, I think a pre-nup is an excellent idea. Back in the day when I got married, I never gave it a thought. I considered a pre-nup to be appropriate for celebrities since you always hear about all of the Hollywood divorces. And of course I thought my marriage would last forever. Now that I'm divorced, and being further down the road in life with a bit more resources, I'd advise any woman to consider a pre-nup as just a smart thing to do.
