Hi Anon,

Thank you for reaching out to EmpowHER with your concern! I'm really sorry to hear you haven't been feeling yourself and I hope that we can help.

When our founder Michelle was experiencing health issues due to a hysterectomy, the book Screaming to be Heard was a big help to her. The book dives deep into hormone issues among women, and how they can get help. Dr. Elizabeth Vliet wrote the book. Here is a link to her website to learn more and to contact her: http://www.herplace.com/

Please keep us updated on how everything is going. We hope this helps!

Best,
Erin

I have seen several doctors- none have been of any help.
I would like info on who/what treatment from Michelle King Robson so that I can truly have a life. I am now 54 years old. Single for close to 25 yrs. I do not like who I have become since that horrible radical hysterectomy at age 33!!

Dear Anon,

Thanks for reaching out to the community. It's not uncommon for a woman to feel this way after this kind of surgery, and at your age. I'm sorry you had to go through this. Have you spoken to your doctor about how you are feeling? You should. He or she may be able to help provide resources specific to your physical and emotional needs. Some people find it helpful to connect with others going through the same thing. You can search for a group on EmpowHER if you like.

Here is a link to information on our site that I hope will help you.

Keep us posted on how you are doing.
