I have been thru 6 treatments of chemo and noticed that my finger nails are turning white.... some are white half way down to my cuticles... I don't know if it was the chemo...the nails are sore.. what can I do?

Guide

Hello, Anon.

Thank you for writing.

During chemotherapy, nails may become discolored, dry or brittle and can form ridges. Keep your nails moisturized; a cuticle cream rubbed into the nail and cuticle area twice daily may be helpful. You should alert your doctor to any changes you find concerning, especially any signs of inflammation or infection.
