Why is Hearing Loss named Hearing Loss?

I know its not really a health question, but i want to know.

Hi Anon,

The term hearing loss is pretty self explanatory. It means that the person has had a loss of hearing or listening to sounds. It can be congenital or develop over time. I can't really tell you were it came from if that's what you are asking-- sorry.
