Q:

Why don’t I get pleasure from sex?

I’m 24 and have been in a few sexual relationships over the past years and I have had the same problem with all of them... I can only get pleasure from clitoral stimulation. When he is inside me I can feel it but I get absolutely no pleasure out of it at all.

I have tried different positions and even getting me almost at the point of orgasm before sex but nothing seems to work.
I get aroused and ‘want’ to have sex but it just doesn’t work for me.
I don’t really want to go to a doctor about it but I’m inside if there is something wrong.

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

Many women only orgasm by clitoral stimulation - in fact, the majority report they do. We cannot ascertain why you can't get pleasure by vaginal intercourse also. Since you can feel movement, it's not likely you are nerve damage; you simply don't enjoy it.

Try having an orgasm before intercourse - see if that helps. I think it might.
Best,
Susan
