Hello Anon,

Hydronephrosis is literally-- water in the kidney. It occurs when the kidney gets backed up in urine, therefore causing swelling to occur. This is usually caused by a disease and not an actual disease itself. Did you have a blockage? Kidney stones? Something that may have caused this?

The best person to always explain your results is your doctor. We can give you general information but only your doctor can give you specific information about your particular diagnosis.

Best Wishes,

Rosa
