I have numb first 3 fingers on my right hand and also loss of feeling down the shin of my right leg. The leg has been numb since April and I lost the feeling in my fingers in July. My fingers are also very hypersensitive. After having an MRI of my head, they have decided I've had a TIA of the thalamus, thus causing the thalamic pain syndrome. I would like to find as much information as possible so I can try and understand this and also decide if this is what is going on with me.
Thank you

Hi Missie,
Thanks for the links you provided. It's really hard to tell from some of the articles I've found and will probably have to wait till I get a referral to the stroke clinic the doctor wants to send me to. But, there's no denying that I had a TIA in the thalamus region. When that happened, who knows.....and I'm not sure there's any way of knowing. Thanks again.
