At what age should I begin considering a colonoscopy? Are there any signs or symptoms that I can watch for in the meantime?

Hi Ali,

Welcome back. The CDC recommends to start screening at age 50 men or women and screening at a younger age for those with a higher risk of the disease. Specially if you have a strong family history.  Symptoms of colon cancer are, rectal bleeding or blood in the stool, persistent abdominal discomfort or cramps, weakness or fatigue, weight loss and changes in the consistency of your stool.
