If when someone has inflammation in their body, like full muscle combined with the fact they only have one kidney: what over-the-counter pain medications can they take for the inflammation and pain. I have been told that Advil, Aleve and other over-the-counter medications are not good for a person who has had a kidney removed.

Guide

Hi Michelle,
The information which you were told regarding non-steroidal medications like Advil is correct. Any one with kidney disease should not take nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and this includes aspirin, ibuprofen and naproxen.
