Can you give me some information on the Gerson Therapy? I know it has helped some people with cancer treatment and is not available (or approved) in the United States. Do you think the Gerson Therapy can help prevent cancer or other health conditions?

I'm reminded of a crude, but true saying that goes like this "opinions are like xxxxxxxx, everybody has got one". Consult your doctor on the risks and benefits of GT - that's a big laugh. You can't really render advice on something you know nothing about, and doctors (God bless them) only have been trained in drugs and surgery.

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHer! Thank you for your question. Gerson Therapy is an alternative cancer treatment. GT maintains that flushing toxins from your body and boosting your immune system can help cure cancer. The key components of GT are a strict diet, dietary supplements and using enemas. Enemas should be taken with extreme caution.

However, some aspects of the GT may be beneficial, such as increasing your water intake and eating organic fruits and vegetables. There have not been enough studies to support the use of GT in the treatment or prevention of cancer. Please discuss this option with your doctor and a natural health specialist to further discuss its possible risks and benefits.

Did this answer your question? Please let us know if you need any more information.

Best Wishes,

Shanon
