3 years ago, i broke out in a rash on my neck and face, while my scalp became very itchy. after 5 dermotologists and an allergist, i was told i am allergic to propylene gycol. i threw away everything that had this ingredient, searching for products that didnt have it. it wasnt easy. to date, no rash on my face. my neck comes and goes.
but my scalp is still itchy. i do not have danruff. i scatch the bumps, over and over.
its absolutely awful, but i can not stop. i have tried so many shampoos and oils, but no more than a day passes and im itchy again. im in menopause. some say hormones.

i take 3,ooo vitamin d. i have stopped eating wheat/flour for the past week.
i do not know what to do!!!! please help. thanking you for your time...

Greengirl,

I'm so sorry that you're dealing with this!! It sounds truly annoying, especially if you are always scratching the bumps on your scalp and re-injuring yourself.

Because of your history, my first thought (and I know you have thought about this since you have tried so many products) is that you must be allergic to something in most shampoos or conditioners. I assume you have tried even baby shampoo?

Have you re-visited any of your dermatologists to ask about your scalp issues continuing? I am wondering if they recommend certain shampoos for those who are very sensitive? There are products called "chemical-free" and I'm wondering if he or she might know of them?
