According to Wikipedia - stem cells are biological cells that can differentiate into other types of cells and can divide to produce more of the same type of stem cells. They are found in multicellular organisms. Stem-cell therapy is the use of stem cells to treat or prevent a disease or condition. A bone marrow transplant is the most widely used stem-cell therapy, but some therapies derived from umbilical cord blood are also in use.
