What is a cheap alternative to a Bosu ball?

I exercise at home and the programme I have requires a Bosu Ball. These are extremely expensive in South Africa and am looking for a cheap alternative to use at home.

I think a GREAT way to recreate the feel would be to affix a slightly deflated playground-type ball to a board by encasing it in a vinyl or some other wipe-off-able surface. Use a staple gun like you are reupholstering a chair to staple your fabric to the bottom of the board. firmly, and without wiggle room.
