Last year every month at least twice at month my husband would pee blood with pain. I would see him lean over the toilet in pain and lots of blood I'm talking light blood dark blood some clots. He would sweat really bad too. We went to his dr to hospitals had MRI done X-rays done had a scope done to check his prostate and did a 24 hour urine analysis. All for the dr to say there's nothing wrong with him. Clearly there's something wrong with him! He went to a follow appointment last week and the dr said well we will see you back in one year from now. My husband was mad and left the office didn't even wait for them to schedule the one year appointment. I told him we need to get a second opinion. But is there anything u can think of that could be wrong? the only think that the dr had said is that he had very tiny stones in his kidneys and for him to change his diet. I've had kidney stones before and mine didn't make me bleed for a year twice a month. yes he drinks caffeine but not that much. And I wanna say we have a very good diet. If u have any suggestions of what it could be or what he can do to stop the bleeding than I'm all ears.

Hello. Thank you for writing.

Hematuria (blood in the urine) may be caused by many conditions, and not all causes of hematuria are serious. Strenuous exercise and certain medications can cause hematuria. Kidney stones, urinary tract infections, kidney disease, blood diseases, and some cancers are all known causes of blood in the urine.
