Applying Aloe Vera Gel onto (not in) the eyelid (from a mosquito bite) can bring a soothing effect. It not just relieves the itching but swelling as well. With its anti-bacterial properties, applying it as soon as possible can help reduce the risk of infection caused by constant itching of the eye. Chilled gel is more beneficial if you are looking for fast relief. Also, applying a cool compress can help with swelling. If you are afraid of developing an allergic reaction due to the bite, an antihistamine can be taken.
