I just had a colon surgery last week and I'm getting ready to change to a high fiber diet

Meat is not high in fiber. Many meats are very low in fiber content.

Fiber is found in other sources - fruit (bananas, oranges, apples, mangoes, strawberries, raspberries), vegetables (dark and leafy), legumes, beans, whole grains and nuts are high in fiber. Lean meat should be consumed conservatively - a few times a week.
