Weight loss supplements recommended by Dr. Daenell: safe for everyone?

I just watched Dr. Daenell's video on empowher
https://www.empowher.com/share/weight-management/video-dr-daenell-what-c...

about what women can do about their unwanted weight. She mentioned three supplements, one was CoQ10. the others I could not understand (my slow computer connection, no doubt). How can I access the trascript for this video?

Also..where do I find the "standardized' doses, as these supplements are not regulated very well. How do I know what I'm buying is the real thing (meaning ingredients and dose). Lastly, do I need to see a Naturopathic Physician, or can I take these as described on the package for the best results? (I've always been nervous about taking supplements, as they can have bad reactions with other medications, which Dr. Daenell did not mention!)

I am currently trying to lose 20 pounds (I'm about 30 pounds overweight), and am exercising 4-5 times a week, and eating healthier and smaller meals (trying to, at least!). I can use an extra boost to help with my weight loss program, as I checked into Alli and that sounds too scary for me!

Thanks!

you should make sure to look for products that contain trans-resveratrol, the antioxidants found in acai berries. Oprah did a show promoting such products like resveratrol ultra. although these products could get quite expensive. I also personally found green tea to be great weight loss supplement, gives me the extra pick-me-up during my workouts it's been linked to the french paradox, could be something to look into

oh, well, if Oprah is promoting it, then it MUST be healthy, safe and effective!

Dear Veronica,

You ask a very good question about supplement quality. There is a lot of variety in the industry. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to figure out. The supplements that I recommended in the video include a special form of reduced coQ10 (ubiquinol), a standardized extract of trans-resveratrol and D-Ribose. These supplements are best taken with meals in the morning. I work with physician quality supplements and actually have some formula's that I created for my practice. This topic is especially dear to me because the women that seek my help are all "tryers." They eat right, exercise and have for years... yet, the older they get the more unbalanced their weight becomes. I have developed these products in order to heal the metabolism as it has grown less vital with age. In doing so, they are working against the many chronic degenerative illnesses associated with aging, so they are simply enhancing their health overall. They will do so without risking heart rate or blood pressure increases, without stimulants and without embarassing side effects. The products I use are called Q Right (ubiquinol), Celleration (standardized extract of trans-resveratrol) and Vitalation (D-Ribose). They are available through my office and presently not anywhere else... although, I should consider making them more widely available because they are shown to be safe for people with no known serious contraindications. Because they are truly healing the metabolism and not simply stimulating it. The weight balancing progress you will see will not be obvious until approximately the fourth month of use. In the mean time, you might notice enhanced energy and an improved sense of well-being. When shopping in the over the counter market, try to be as specific as you can with my descriptions, or you are welcome to access them through my office, many of the women I work with share them with their friends and relatives. Simply follow the directions on the containers. I will make my office contact information available to the people at EmpowHer and let them share it as they see appropriate. My best to you in your efforts.

Veronica, we'll see if we can't get more information on this for you. Dr. Daenell's video was really interesting -- made me wish for a one-on-one appointment with a doctor who understood my body as well as she clearly understands a woman's body!

Hang in there and we'll see if we can't get more and expanded information.
