Venous lake on my lip

I have this dark blue/purple lesion on my lip that keeps getting bigger. I went to see the dermatologist and she said that it's a venous lake. She said it was nothing I had to worry about. Does anyone else have one or know of someone who does? If so, what was your/their treatment?

I have a venous lake on my bottom lip (had it for years) that is most of the time flat (although always looks blue on the outside) but once in a while it gets bigger with a 'ball' in it. Does anyone else have flare ups with theirs? Any idea what causes it to flare up? Is there a cancer concern?

I have had a VL for almost 24 years on my lower lip. It has been examined by several consultants and recommendations have been for deep laser treatment as it is very large and goes quite deep.
I've already had cryosurgery on it in the past and that made it twice as big, a big white inner scarring next to it and now it is like a ball rather than flat. I've never tried the castor oil but I'm going to give it a go!! At the same time I'm going to try it on my xanthelasma too! There is no risk of cancer btw

I went and saw a dermatologist yesterday and she told me I had Venous lake too. She said it's no harm but I wanted it to get the blue off. She gave me three options. I decided to go with the cheapest route. Which only costed me $30 and I forget what it's called but she mentioned freezing it. After using that on me, that spot is a blister today and it looks like the blue is going away BUT we will see once this blister goes away. I have pictures also. It was not painful

Castor oil on a venous lake doesn't work. I tried it twice a day for four weeks and it didn't make
any difference at all. Laser is the way to go to have it permanently removed.

So...has anyone else tried the Silk n' Flash on their Venous Lake (VL). If so, which product, how long per treatment, how many treatments...the results?

I had one of these awful things too. On one website I saw that a dermatologist was using IPL to treat this. I realized that intense pulse light is what my home laser hair removal tool uses so I decided to give that a try. I gave it a zap once a day for a week and then went on holiday. During the week of treatment it almost disappeared and by the time I got back from my week away I realized I couldn't even tell where it was. So in two weeks it is completely gone. I have the silkn flash and go laser and it was pretty cheap to buy.

Hi, I bought the Silk & Go & zapped my venous lake, but it didn't go away. Could you please tell me what setting you used?
Thanks very much,
Connie

Hi. Does it matter what model ? They start at around 200 but a doc wants 500 per treatment

OMG! I have one of those too... Your brave for trying that.... But thanks because the Castro Oil didn't work for me. Mine is big and it didn't really do much! Just curious did you just place it on your lip in my be place and zap? I'm totally trying it right now!
