Hello, i recently got a UTI that turned into a kidney infection, im currently being treated for it, (i've been on it for 7 days, 8 starting tomorrow, going to be taking them for 20 days twice a day) I've been CAUTIOUSLY clean about my lady parts throughout the entire process. I went over to see my boyfriend and he ended up touching my clit/fingering me. He washed his hands MANY times and made sure the hand he washed with didn't touch anything through the process of coming to me from the bathroom, etc. I did pee afterwards, and i did pee a lot throughout the day. (been drinking tons of water). But, I do feel a little.."sore" down there..it's causing me concern. is it possible to develop a UTI while on antibiotics? i'm just really worried that I could..i even washed myself down there with water. i'm freaking out rn. :( help?

Hello and welcome to EmpowHer,
Cleanliness is important to avoid infections. However, its imperative that you do not over-wash your vaginal area. Washing too often with or without soap can off set the balance of good bacteria in your vagina and cause infection instead of prevent it.
So, cut back on washing frequently. Keeping generally good hygiene is enough.
