I have had severe migraines for probably 10 years now. They began when I started into perimenopause, so my doctors and I believe that they are partly hormonal in nature.
I have tried many different medicines, as well as acupuncture, for relief. Things seem to work for a while and then gradually not work anymore.
My doctor says that Botox is being used to treat migraines now; that the injections paralyze the muscles where the blood vessels dilate and thereby have some success in halting the migraine action.
Has anyone had experience with this?

Those who are interested in trying that website should note the following: (a) it's for finding plastic surgeons, and (b) it's not a simple search engine, you have to enter your name, phone number and other particulars in order to even see what surgeon might be available in your area. You also will then receive an email newsletter unless you uncheck the checked box.

Love the blog…here's the deal, check out (www.ThePatientsAdvantage.com); seriously. I ran into them looking for Botox surgeons. They have a great way to find the best surgeons and it is completely free. I have used them a couple times now.
