I am a 26 year old female and in the past 4-months I have been having very strange symptoms. I finally went to the doctor the other day but I don't feel like they did a thorough job. I woke up with bad chest pain when I would breathe deeply in. I felt like I was just able to take little breathes. My throat has also been hurting a lot but I have not been congested. In the past few days my joints in my hands have felt weird. My knees have also been cracking a ton lately. Kind of like jello. I also feel faint and nascious. I have also had some brain fog as well as mood swings.
The doctor passed it off as post nasal drip and sent me with a prescription for flonase. I can't decide if I am overreacting but I am terrified. I don't really know where to turn. Should I go back to the doctor or just wait for symptoms to clear up?

HI Susan, thank you for the speedy response. I already have an autoimmune disease and know that people with autoimmune diseases can often have a couple of them. It is different symptoms that I am used to though. Blood panel sounds like the next right step. Again, thank you very much!

Hello Anon
Thank you for writing.
Give the Flonase 7-10 days to see if you improve.
If you don't, then seek further advice since you have had these symptoms for several months. You may have a hormonal imbalance (including your thyroid) or you may have an inflammatory condition that is causing you this discomfort. Ask for an entire blood panel to be done to see if you have an autoimmune issue.
Please keep us posted and I hope you feel better soon.
