Two missed periods, negative pregnancy test, but pregnant like symptoms.

Hi,
I am only twenty one but I am thinking maybe I have an hormone imbalance? My periods are very regular and I have not had my period now for a few months. I have taken numerous pregnancy tests and all have come out negative. I do have pregnant like symptoms though such as weight gain, fatigue and headaches. I also have been extremely bloated recently and have been spotting. I was thinking maybe some of these are a sign of hormone imbalance...I generally eat pretty well and I try to get out and excersize regularly. I have had some mood swings and just over all feel like I am pms sing the whole past month and I have had an increase in my appetite ( I ussually eat small portions and find my self hungry way more often now though). Also I was very happy for about a month and recently am just neutral but that might have something to do with the fatigue I am experiencing now. Any ideas what could be wrong with me? I am sick of feeling like my period is going to happen every day and never having it actually happen!

Thank You in Advance.

Hi,
If your three pregnancy tests have come up negative, and you have not had unprotected since, then it is likely that another reason is causing your missed periods.

You may not need a test with a needle, but it is important to call your GYN or primary doctor and ask them about your two missed periods, as well as shooting pain in your back.

Please let us know what your doctor says, and please call first thing Monday. Anytime you have "shooting pain" you should have this medically evaluated.

Hi Anonymous,

I am glad to hear that you will be seeing your doctor soon since there are too many different reasons why you may be feeling the way you do. Pregnancy tests are pretty accurate so there may be another reason why you are feeling the way you do. Could you do us a favor and update us about what your physician tells you?

I am 30 years old, had my last period 15th April 2010 till the 20th April 2010 and i still haven't had a period since (it is now 11th July 2010). I have had numerous negative HPT's. I am have been feeling nausea, spotting, fatigue, dizziness, light headed, cravings moody and i feel like i am eating for 2. (i eat something and after it i feel like i haven't eaten anything or i am still hungry a while after). My stomach feels tight pretty much all the time. I am not stressed, i eat healthy. Hey its me Anonymous (30 year old etc lol), had my US today and they said it is all clear no cyst or anything. She couldn't tell if i was pregnant or not as they said they can only tell from 6 weeks on.. I have only been feeling my symptoms listed before for around a month, so i will have to wait at least another week or two to check again.

Hi,
Can you tell us more information?
1. When was the first date of your last menstrual period (LMP)?
2. How long are your cycles typically?
3. When did you have unprotected intercourse?
4. When are you expecting your next period to begin?
