Tingling/Stinging Pain in left breast

The pain initially started 3 months ago in my left nipple the week before my menstrual period. It was a dull stinging pain. It went away and came back again right before my next menstrual period. Since then the pain has not gone away. It's not an unbearable pain. It stings when bumped or touched but then goes away.

Hello, Anon! Thank you for writing today!

Breast pain, (or mastalgia) is common and may include a dull ache, heaviness, tightness, a burning sensation in the breast tissue, or breast tenderness. If the pain is linked to the menstrual cycle, it is known as cyclical mastalgia (cyclical breast pain).

If the symptoms continue, and you are concerned, see your doctor.
