Hi,

I am 26 yr old female.
For the past 1 month I am noticing a small white patch on both the sides of my cheek.
It started appearing recently and I have never seen such patch before....My skin in normal in that area...just that it is more pale in that area...

Could you please suggest any medicines or treatment for this?
What could be the reason for this skin discoloration??
Any food abnormalities??

Please help me out...
Thanks

Hi Empower,

Welcome to EmpowHer! lol love the name...

It sounds like what you're referring to are sun spots or patchy skin discoloration-- Either can be caused by over-exposure to the sun or can simply be genetic. However, there are other more serious conditions which can cause skin discoloration and you should get this checked out by your dermatologist before attempting to treat this skin condition. In the meantime, always use sunscreen while out in the sun and try to avoid it as much as possible.

Keep us updated,

Rosa

Hi Rosa,
Thanks for answering my query :)
But the climate here is usually cloudy and rains so frequently. So I think we must ignore the possibility of sun spots!
I felt that it could be due to any vitamin deficiency..Still as advised i shall consult a dermatologist before making any decision :)

Thanks again!
Cheers!
