Q:

Should I be afraid of my ovarian cyst rupturing?

I have a lump on the left side of my abdomen over my ovary. I have pain when I need to go to the bathroom, lower back pain, pain in the pelvis, headaches and I get nauseous often. I kind of assume it's an ovarian cyst and I'm seeing my doctor later this month.

Hello Anonymous,

Follow the doctor's recommendation to take it easy and go to the appointment on December 28.

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. I am very glad that you reached out to us with your concern.

When you called your doctor's office to schedule the appointment, did you tell the person who took the call exactly what you are experiencing? If not, please call back, ask to speak with the nurse, and ask for a earlier appointment.

I am concerned that you can see the lump and are experiencing such pain.

Regards,
Maryann
